The "Duc de Padoue" (Jean Thomas Arrighi de Casanova) was a faithful general in Napoleons’ army. A native of Corte, it is logical that a building has been named after him.
We will be honoured to welcome you in a building dating from the middle of the 19th century, situated on the calmest square in Corte, a peaceful heaven in the heart of the town. The Duc de Padoue Hotel, (ex-Hotel de la Poste) has just been completely renovated and remodeled in 2009 in a way to offer all the modern amenities.
Centrally situated, a short walk from shops and activities, you will naturally be enchanted by the sublime scenery of central Corsica, walks, river bathing as well as by the simplicity and authenticity of the people. In 30 minutes by car, you can access the Grotelle carpark, departure point of walks to the Capitellu and Melu lakes. Although situated in the centre of Corsica, you will still be close to the sea with the superb beaches of Lozari or Ostriconi only 35 minutes drive away.
